5 Ways to Make Monday a Funday

Well its the end of a Monday, most of you are either sitting in front of the TV watching the Bachelor or watching the re-run of Gossip Girl (errrr I hate reruns!). Either way, it's only Monday, so I thought I would put together some fun styling tips to try to spice up your style this week, perk you up, and help everyone look forward to the weekend! Only FOUR more days y'all!

(1) Put on a basic pair of jeans and a tee shirt, accessorized with the biggest and boldest accessories you own.
(2) Its supposed to rain tomorrow? Ditch your standard umbrella for a kid’s umbrella – they come in fun prints and colors and are the perfect size for one person. Even better, they’re cheaper than normal ones.

(3) Invest in some really amazing lingerie. Even if you’re the only one who’s going to see it. Even if you think it’s a waste of money. On days when you’re just wearing sweats, cute lingerie can turn your whole mood around.

(4) Go shopping for cute gym clothes to workout in. Then put them on and go exercise! It’s the ultimate way to boost your mood.

(5) On a rainy day, ditch your heels in favor of brightly colored rain boots. Remember how your mom use to tell you to NOT jump in the puddles? News flash! Mama's not here. Go out and stomp in those bad boys!

Coming to DC....

I was so excited to hear that Current Boutique (currently located in Old Town Alexandria & Arlington) will also be coming to DC! The wonderful Logan Circle Neighborhood will also be adding  Current Boutique to its list of places to shop!

What I have noticed while shopping at Current was the enormous amount of High End Consignment available. Extremely organized by style, size, and categories it makes shopping a breeze. I love the idea that consignment is taking over. Style doesn't have to break the bank!

Missing this Week

Want to post a quick sorry to my readers! I am visiting my family this week (back Thursday night) and have to apologize for the lack of posts.
I have found some great gems here though and can't wait to write about all my finds in more detail when I get back!

I have to say its nice to come back but I'm really missing my city. Gonna give DC a big hug when I get back!

Thrifting Thursday Finds

Because I am traveling today (alone with my 19-month old - Lord help me) I thought it only appropriate to show you that Thrifting isn't just for grown ups.

I have found some amazing pieces for my daughter! I refuse to spend thousands of dollars on clothes for her when lets be honest, they are just going to get covered in drool, food, poo (Hmmm TMI?), and lord knows what else. Since before she was born I have bought her adorable dresses (Ralph Lauren), and jeans  (Baby GAP and Baby Guess) from thrift stores. I developed my love for thrifting from my mom and Nana and I hope I spread the same love of it to her.

Here is an ADORABLE vintage 80's dress I found for her. Navy blue accented with little apples reminded me of something my mom would have put me in! I loved it!

So if any of you ladies have kids or nieces and nephews and looking for
 some one-of-a-kind pieces try thrifting!

(Sorry the pics from far away - couldn't get her to sit still!)

Antsy for My Maxi

I love Maxi Dresses. I could basically live in them

And with the weather being so beautiful today I'm getting pretty anxious to wear my Maxi dresses.

Easy slip on clogs, cool accessories, a floral maxi dress, and until the weather gets a warmer a light blazer, all mixed with light shades of pink for the face, are making me seriously excited for warmer weather.

Happy Anniversary to Me

Three years ago today was one of the best days of my life. At 5 pm I walked down the aisle in my Nicole Miller strapless sheath dress in front of 36 people to get married to my amazing husband on the top of a cliff in Puerto Rico.

In the spirit of still being in love with my man here is a picture of us and our family on our wedding day. NOTE: Hated my make up that day, but I loved my dress.

I loved how casual our wedding was. We didn't want anything huge, just a fun party!
