Rachael's Wearing: Stripes in the City

It's a million degrees in DC today, and the humidity is about two million percent. As much as I hate the ocean I would love to be on a boat right now sailing with the ocean breeze in my hair. Ahhhh....

Instead I'm stuck trudging around this hot city, oh I love DC.

I know, I know my handbag really doesn't match with the outfit - BUT I really needed a massive handbag today and was in a huge rush. So I'm sure you can forgive me this once. 

This dress is so super comfy and I love wearing it. Probably would have felt more comfortable had I not stuffed my face with Chipolte for lunch, but oh well.

My mom gave me this necklace a while back. I love the pop of color this outfit totally needs. Its fun and I don't get to wear it much because my daughter thinks its candy and tries to eat it.

Whats everyone doing this weekend? I am taking my daughter to a "Princess" Themed birthday party tomorrow and then going to a friends rooftop in Arlington Sunday for a pool party. Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!

Pretending to have tea

So usually I do a lot more accessories, but today was exhausting and for several reasons it did not happen for me today. (1) I wanted to show case the dress which I'm obsessed with! I love anything that looks like its made out a curtain. It reminds me of that part of Sound of Music where she makes the children play clothes and then they go to the fountain and sing, "Doe a Deer..." (2) The other reason it didn't happen was I simply didn't have time. Any mom out there can tell you how exhausting it is getting yourself and a two year old out the door, even worse when there a puking incident while your walking out...TMI?

Either way I looove this dress and got several compliments on it. The Eva & Zoe nude shoes are so insanely comfortable and I love the little kitten heel on them, perfect girly touch.

Current Boutique In Logan Circle

Current Boutique opened their thrid Upscale Consignment Boutique this week in Logan Circle.

I stopped in Saturday and it's AMAZING! Carmen Lopez, owner of all three boutiques, did a great job with the color scheme, location, and with both new and consigned merchandise in the store.

FIRST ANNUAL CHARITY FASHION SWAP: SHOP FOR A CAUSE

We have gathered used clothing within 2 years of used, but great condition to be sold as consignment pieces. Just $15 will get you 3 items (just $5 each!) and a majority of $ will support a Style organization, FashionEastA, which directly goes to an orphanage in East Africa to provide aid for children's schooling, etc.  Gift bags will be given to each guests full of coupons and other fun items! Also, will be raffeling off an Ipod nano and a $50 gift certificate to Current Boutique!

Lables we've gathered so far? 7 Jeans, Betsy Johnson, Romeo & Juliet, JCrew, Banana Republic, and one of kind pieces from Italy and Brasil! (Just to name a few)

Coming to DC....

I was so excited to hear that Current Boutique (currently located in Old Town Alexandria & Arlington) will also be coming to DC! The wonderful Logan Circle Neighborhood will also be adding  Current Boutique to its list of places to shop!

What I have noticed while shopping at Current was the enormous amount of High End Consignment available. Extremely organized by style, size, and categories it makes shopping a breeze. I love the idea that consignment is taking over. Style doesn't have to break the bank!
